Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Sticks
- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (cut into halves or quarters)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
Dipping Sauce
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips approximately 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
- Add Fillings: Place a few pepperoni slices in the center of each dough strip, then generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni.
- Form Pizza Sticks: Fold the dough strips over the cheese and pepperoni to create pocket-like shapes. Pinch the edges firmly to seal and form stick-like shapes to prevent filling from leaking out.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the sealed pizza sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart to allow for even baking.
- Brush and Season: Brush each pizza stick with the beaten egg to create a golden crust. Then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder evenly over the top for added flavor.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the pizza sticks are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure dough strips are sealed tightly to avoid cheese leakage during baking.
- You can substitute pepperoni with other cured meats or veggies for variation.
- For extra crispiness, brush with olive oil instead of egg wash.
- Make sure pizza sauce is warm when serving for best dipping experience.
