Ingredients
Scale
Celery
- 12 celery stalks, washed and cut into 3-4 inch pieces
Cream Cheese Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Celery: Wash and dry the celery stalks thoroughly, removing any leaves or tough ends. Cut the celery into 3-4 inch pieces and set aside to be stuffed later.
- Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Stuff the Celery: Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully fill each celery stalk groove with the prepared cream cheese mixture, making sure each piece is well loaded with filling.
- Garnish and Serve: Once all the celery stalks are stuffed, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for a pop of color and added flavor. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes if you prefer a cooler, firmer texture.
- Enjoy: These Italian Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery sticks make a perfect light snack, appetizer, or finger food for gatherings and parties.
Notes
- You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter filling.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference or omit for no heat.
- For added crunch, top with finely chopped nuts or breadcrumbs before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days.
